Project description
The Fernand-Gauthier elementary school in Rivière des Prairies welcomes students from all elementary levels and offers adaptation classes for children with autism spectrum disorders. A restoration and expansion project was completed in the summer of 2015 so as to offer students a better learning environment.
Groupe Brosseau Vitrerie was selected to design a system of curtain walls and aluminum architectural structures and install new commercial windows in the new pavilion.
The materials were chosen with care and our team ensured that they respected construction standards for school buildings, energy efficiency and the school grounds and sector. Specific tests for resistance to water and air were carried out by an external firm to verify that the curtain walls, windows and sliding shutters were compliant.
This infrastructure expansion and renovation project was completed during the summer months so Fernand-Gauthier students and staff could enjoy a new environment when they returned after the summer break.
